Ateliers Muquet is an indispensable representative of, and ambassador for, French artisan joinery and fine cabinetmaking worldwide. From high-status interiors to the creation of exclusive materials, everything is crafted in its own workshops, which in turn facilitates the transfer of expertise from its passionate master craftsmen to their younger colleagues.
As part of this process of passing on knowledge and skills, Ateliers Muquet has formed a partnership with Prony Technical College in Asnières-sur-Seine. The college specializes in woodwork, cabinetmaking, architecture and interiors. Its courses align perfectly with the kind of expertise sought by Ateliers Muquet, leading to the Brevet des Métiers d’Art – Ébénisterie and CAP d’Ébénisterie qualifications.
Ateliers Muquet is committed to this learning pathway, and supports apprentices as they develop their skills.
At the beginning of the 2019 academic year, Ateliers Muquet welcomed work/study trainees under apprenticeship or career reorientation arrangements: Baptistine, Célia, Émeline, Luc, Rebecca, Valentin and Zénaïde. Their ages range from 15 to 35, but all are passionate about making a career in specialties such as cabinetmaking, carpentry or communication.
Ateliers Muquet gives these trainees the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice, gain experience and learn new working methods. Our experts in traditional techniques are equally keen to embrace innovation and learn new skills made possible by technological advances, all of which Ateliers Muquet wishes to share today with the cabinetmakers and interior designers of the future. When working in our workshops, each trainee is mentored and supervised by a tutor or apprenticeship leader whose mission is to help trainees acquire the right skills for the qualification they are pursuing, working closely with the college and other organizations, such as Les Compagnons du Devoir.
Ateliers Muquet is proud to welcome these work/study trainees and pass on its expertise in values to them, as they familiarize themselves with the expertise and skills offered by the company.
